Kristian advises domestic and international companies and contracting authorities on all matters of public law. His particular focus is on public procurement and public commercial as well as state aid and subsidy law.

Kristian studied law at the University of Bonn and the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona with a focus on public and European law. During his legal traineeship, he worked for a leading law firm in Bonn and at the German Embassy in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia).

He was a research assistant at the university and completed his postgraduate LL.M. studies at the German University for Public Administration in Speyer with a thesis in European Law.

Before joining ESCH BAHNER LISCH in June 2017, since June 2016, he worked for an international law firm.

Furthermore Kristian Tomczak is a lecturer in administrative law at the Federal University of Applied Administrative Sciences in Brühl since April 2019.
